551 HP for all AMG 63 engines.
The new 2009 MKB High Performance Software pushes the limits further.
405 kW/551 HP including a Vmax-adjustment for all the AMG 63 cars.
Apart from the well known MKB top-end-solution of 581 HP and 673 Nm of torque consisting of MKB High Performance Software and MKB stainless steel exhaust manifolds with connecting hoses MKB shows a new more basic version with 551 HP and 645 Nm of torque in the product range.
This conversion does not need MKB stainless steel exhaust manifolds and is based upon the MKB High Performance Software only. So it isn’t only the performance increase which is interesting for any customer, it is also an interesting pricing offer.
At MKB, our technical staff’s standard approach is to improve performance. Now even the first performance package is a MKB solution without any compromise. A completely modified engine control software is flashed into the standard ECU-unit by MKB. The optimized ignition and injection mapping of MKB pushes all AMG 63 cars to 551 HP. And with these 551 HP any MKB customer can reach a longitudinal acceleration beyond most sports cars.
As with this conversion the standard Vmax-limits are adjusted, MKB powered AMG cars are allowed to sprint up to 300 km/h. Quicker is possible if the customer demands it – but only together with tires which are capable of higher speeds.
Apart from the maximum performance data the MKB 63/8 can succeed with its perfect drivability. The power increase is available over the whole rpm-range and is easy to use. It is out of question that the durability is endangered by the conversion. Every single customer’s car is treated with special MKB know-how: every AMG with its 63-engine will get its own individual engine control software adjusted by MKB technicians. Therefore MKB offers a two year warranty on the whole drive train. The consumption is reasonable in the face of the performance and still the engine’s emissions are below the environmental regulations given by government.
But for car enthusiasts who are really into high performance, MKB offers the full power performance package. This consists of another special electronic mapping and a special exhaust system which lifts the power up to 581 HP and 673 Nm of torque. This MKB 63/8 package is available for all the AMG cars with the 6.2 l V8 engine. For the top selling types, C, CLK, E, CLS, S, SL and CL MKB can offer a MKB limited slip differential and adjusted brake and suspension systems that round off the conversions for the most demanding customers.

581 hp/427kW, 673 Nm. The new MKB 63/8 based on the new AMG high rev engines

Only with a highly precise operation the new AMG engine becomes a very special MKB power plant: Aggressive, ambitious and really really fast.
For skilled experts only. The MKB 63/8.
Beware of the beast. Who thinks the basic AMG engine is far too aggressive doesn’t need to read on further. Our MKB 63/8 is hard to handle.
The 6.3 l V8-4v stands for a new period of time at AMG: Big displacement and high revolution instead of big displacement and supercharging. We concentrate with highest technology in our own style to enhance the power performance and the power characteristics for real enthusiasts.
Until now no AMG drive train was so uncompromisingly developed to speed and response. But after a MKB conversion you can feel a big improvement: our MKB 63/8 reacts to the slightest movement of the accelerometer. He will zoom you to the desired speed in the same time as the wish comes to your mind. Gearbox and engine are melted together as an outstanding propulsion unit. Aggressive 581 hp mean riding on the edge for most Mercedes drivers, but for a few it means sheer pleasure.
The MKB technology tuning starts its first power stage with well known modification: an adjusted engine control unit converts together with an adapted exhaust manifold every AMG-Mercedes into a real sports car. The step-I-variant of the MKB 63/8 has got its heat at Nardo – 330,5 km/h in a E-class are a clear evidence for a successful MKB engine tuning. A second power stage is already on trial.
The conversion of every AMG 63 into our MKB 63/8 can be done at MKB directly or at any MKB Performance Center within only one day. So we are the benchmark for speed in every respect.
Contact us in the same speed. The delivery of the first MKB 63/8 will start in January 2008.

Nardo Highspeed Event 330,5 km/h MKB 63/8 and 323,8 km/h MKB 55/8 K

At Nardo it doesn’t count who you are, it only counts how fast you are.
MKB has a good name which stands for real power performance tuning of AMG and Mercedes cars.
We showed the evidence that this reputation is justified: the fastest Mercedes during the Showdown 2007 of the German magazine AutoBild sportscars came out of our garage.
MKB 63/8: 330,5 km/h with the 560 hp high rev engine
Our MKB 63/8 pushes itself to the top of all high performance sedans with normal aspirated engines.
Sunday, 22.09.2007, 07:44. With a mean grunt the MKB 63/8 thunders over the banked circuit in Nardo. His engine comes now near to 7.000 rpm. The 6.3-litre 4-valve V8 revs even in sixth gear nearly to the max.
After a short run up the MKB 63/8 burned his top speed at 330,5 km/h into the holy tarmac of the Italian high speed track. A lot of specialists were convinced that a sedan with automatic transmission and a normal aspirated engine would not show such an outstanding performance. Our technology tuned E 63 AMG pulled ahead of all Mercedes models which dared to go to the high speed event at Nardo. Even stronger cars by name had to step back. The MKB 63/8 package was unbeatable this time.
But much more than the pure Vmax his high agility was impressive. The MKB 63/8 catapulted himself easily over 300 km/h. It is a strong basis for ambitious high speed racing. And at Nardo we needed only one lap, one run, to step into the 330 km/h plus league.
It was worth while to hold back the newly developed engine based on the AMG 6.3 l V8 engines.
The world`s première was successful. We aimed for 330 km/h and we gained 330 km/h.
And to our quick customers we can offer the MKB 63/8 from early January 2008.
MKB 55/8 K: 323,8 km/h with the famous 620 hp supercharged engine
The fastest station wagon in Nardo carries the MKB signature. Our discrete MKB 55/8 K makes race bred super sports cars seem colourless. If it comes to transporting things as well to Vmax runs…
In the meantime we offer for the AMG supercharged V8 four different power upgrades. For Nardo we installed our most often sold MKB 55/8 K with 620 hp. Our target of over 320 km/h was clearly in sight with this engine.
With the optional 680 hp and 900 Nm of torque our E-class T-model would clearly reach over 330 km/h. Even its aerodynamics are still not very good. For example two years ago we reached at test trials in an E-class sedan much higher speeds already.
The old 5.5 l V8 upgraded with our power packages is still a good choice for high speed fanatics if they want to go in a SL, CL or E-class.
The hot engines still are crackling. And our tech team is already dreaming about Nardo 2008 …
We reached our targets at Nardo with our standard products and even without any special high speed couture. Just because this high speed event of the German magazine is somehow merciless. Only the most precise GPS-speed-measuring equipment judges the speeds. A tenth of a km/h is the currency. The German TUEV reads out the results. And who misses his target which had to be announced before the runs will loose his credibility and respect. We kept our promises. Because we can promise our customers highest performance without ifs or buts.
